Syracuse, New York, August 6, 2018 -
Stephanie Miner issues the following statement on the Albany Times Union report on how sexual harassment complaints at the Department of Criminal Justice Services were handled by the Cuomo administration:
Why is it so hard for the Cuomo administration to take this issue seriously? They hold secret meetings. They punish women who speak out. Nothing happens to the men who are accused and retaliate against accusers.
The four men in the room who control things in Albany - one of whom is under investigation himself of sexual harassment - don’t see any problem.
What is wrong with this picture?
I guarantee you this: if I am Governor, the issue of sexual harassment in the workplace will be taken very seriously.
